Derry Precision Tools supplies precision engineering goods and services to a wide range of sectors in countries around the world, including England, France, Italy, Germany, Canada and the USA.
DPT was founded by Jim Jackson in Derry in 1972, primarily as a tool and die precision engineering manufacturing company.
In the preceding decades, the privately owned company transitioned into a high-end CNC (computerised numerical control) provider which caters for low to high volume orders for pre-designed components. Equally, we offer full turnkey design, manufacture and supply solutions for engineering problems that our clients need to address.
Today, DPT is a tier one sub-contractor of precision engineering products and services to some of the world’s leading companies.
We currently supply goods and services to a wide range of sectors operating in countries including England, France, Italy, Germany, Canada and the USA.
And although we supply globally, we are dedicated to always sticking to our family-business values of providing a very personalised service for our clients.

DPT is IS0 9001 and AS9100 D approved by NQA.
ISO 9001 lays down criteria for a quality management system based on a number of principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. By working to ISO 9001 we ensure that customers receive consistently high-quality products and services.
AS9100D standardizes quality management system requirements for companies that design, manufacture or provide aviation, space and defence products and services, including parts, components and assemblies working with the aerospace industry and supply chain.
The standard is based on the general ISO 9001 standards for quality management systems, with the addition of industry-specific guidelines for the safe development, production and distribution of quality aerospace parts and products.
